Huge year for Mustard Pimp, they've released a slew of mixtapes (One 8 hours long) and banging fidgety remixes/original tracks. It was a toss up between I Think They Like Me, and Fresh Prince, but I think I Think They Like Me kinda flew under everyone's radar so I'm going to back the under dog.


80's obsessed duo FUTURECOP! has been moving me all year, and I've seen their remix of Skee Low's I wish crush dance floors.


Sammy Bananas, not only did you put out the best remix of Poke Her Face, but you also completely throw it down on this Thunderheist track.


So technically it's not a remix, it's a cover.... But it's really good so I don't care. I'm shutting it down with some new age Yacht Rock. Yay for Chromeo!!! New album next year.

Vicious - Love Addict

Vicious formed in Spring of 2009 after meeting at a party and expressing mutual interest in developing a live electronic dance act to represent the nightlife scene in Austin. After remixing Glasnost and Trash Yourself! (released on Loliland Records), they decided it was time to take it beyond the studio, and create something that showed their talents as not only as producers, but also as live musicians. This led to the formation of a hybrid DJ/Live PA setup that utilizes traditional DJing alongside synths, drum machines and a plethora of outboard effects. Vicious uses this to create a furious mix of electro, tech, dub-step, breaks, and rock, that is far from your average DJ set. They have DJed along sides such electro/dance acts as Drop the Lime, the Mad Classy crew, Thunderheist, L.A.X., Vega, Guns n Bombs, and Devlin & Darko. Vicious are currently working on several new remixes and a soon to be released e.p.

Sound of Stereo's new ep Zipper is pretty awesome. So awesome that' I'm afraid to post the original zipper mix because I think you should buy it. I am not afraid to post DJ Manaia's Zipper remix. The original track is a send up to those 90's jams you used to hear at raves with the awesome piano hook that they don't really make anymore, only with more wobble and zipper sounding samples. The DJ Manaia remix replaces the wobble with snares and bongos.
