Yacht Rock Sunday!!! Finally found the source of that fucking sample!!!

So I was listening to a Grace Jones song that sampled the same awesome bells as Peter Piper by Run DMC which of course made me wonder where the original came from. It's not the first time I've asked myself this question, just the first time I've been in front of a computer when I did.


Anyways, the sample is from Take Me To The Mardi Gras by Bob James, which is jazzy interpretation of the Paul Simon song of the same name, and damn is it smooth and breezy... Like lying on a hammock. He also did the theme for Taxi.
