Pilotpriest - Zipper (1994 Radio Edit)

Swift on the heels of “My Adidas” is Pilotpriest's debut single “Zipper” with Calamity Jane Recordings. “Zipper” follows in traditional Pilotpriest fashion, focusing on impeccable programming, lush 80’s inspired synths and a vocal hook built for the dance floor: “Take down that zipper, you know you gotta take that zipper down.” Remix support not only comes from additional artists, but Pilotpriest himself who provides the “1994 Remix” with a more stripped vibe and the “Nasty Alley Mix” which goes heavy on dark tones and a minimal tech-inspired sound. LA’s Breakdown also lends a hand with a mix that adds a more frenetic and intense sound with dubstep undertones.

Pilotpriest has achieved a mythic quality to him without even having a single out. Born in Ontario, Canada but eventually ending up in Toronto, Pilotpriest is an incredible self-taught talent, not only deft in production, but also live instruments (such as the guitar) and video/CGI work (for companies like MTV Canada and Alchemy). Among the music community, his remixes of everyone from Kanye West to Lioness have graced countless blogs and earned him a devoted following globally.
